en ocasión de la publicación del Informe Narrativo 2005-2011 de nuestro Proyecto DTR-IC “Valorizando nuestras riquezas bioculturales” regresamos encontrarnos en las páginas de este blog. El portal web de la Plataforma Intercontinental Diversidad Biocultural y Territorios sigue en construcción y esperamos en mayo poderla presentar oficialmente en linea. Por el momento aprovecho de este espacio, que a pesar de la falta de actualizaciones sigue siendo consultado, para presentarle el informe narrativo del Proyecto DTR-IC a través de una pequeña nota redacta por mi colega Carolina Porras, responsable de la Comunicación para el Proyecto, que ha sido la responsable del diseño, la redacción y edición del documento con el apoyo del equipo DTR-IC.
El Informe 2005-2011 es presentado por el Proyecto Desarrollo Territorial Rural con Identidad Cultural, iniciativa impulsada por Rimisp que cuenta con el apoyo de la Fundación Ford y la colaboración de un amplio conjunto de socios de América Latina y Europa.
Presentar procesos de escalamiento de desarrollo territorial rural con identidad cultural (DTR-IC) capaces de impulsar dinámicas territorirales sostenibles e inclusicas, contribuyendo al empoderamiento de poblaciones rurales latinoamericanas con menores oportunidades es el fin principal de este INFORME.
En el texto se presenta una reflexión teórica sobre el potencial transformador que descansa en los procesos de desarrollo territorial con identidad cultural; el trabajo en red de los investigadores y la plataforma dinámica de iniciativas de estudio y de acción en marcha en el contexto de un proyecto que busca entender y potenciar estas dinámicas junto a los actores en los territorios; se documentan y analizan experiencias tan diversas y distantes, como las del Litoral Catarinense, al sur de Brasil, o las áreas rurales andinas del Perú, todo en el marco de conceptos de economía cultural y sus proyecciones en el ámbito de las políticas públicas.
La publicación busca presentar de forma dinámica y atractiva (con gráficos, mapas, fotografías) el proceso y la acumulación de resultados del trabajo del Proyecto a lo largo de su trayectoria, haciendo énfasis en los años 2009-2011.
En el primer capítulo se presenta una descripción de los principales rasgos que caracterizan el Proyecto DTR-IC. En el segundo capítulo se presentan los principales resultados del Proyecto, reflexionando acerca de las dimensiones “clave” para impulsar procesos de DTR-IC. En el tercer capítulo se plantean los retos más importantes para el futuro, principalmente, en función de un horizonte de mayor escalamiento del DTR-IC, lo cual implica también superar las limitaciones actuales del Proyecto.
A lo largo del texto, se introducen testimonios de integrantes del Consejo Asesor y del Equipo del Proyecto, así como de socios cercanos, para ilustrar mejor los procesos y sus efectos en distintos ámbitos de influencia.

we come back to meet with you on the pages of this blog to present our RTD-CI Project 2005-2011 Narrative Report “Valuing our biocultural riches”. The web portal of the Biocultural Diversity and Territories Intercontinental Platform is still on work in progress and we plan to publish it officially on line by next May. By now I benefit from this space, that even without recent posting it continues to be visited, to present you the RTD-CI Project Report with a brief note prepared by my coleague Carolina Porras, RDT-CI Project Communication officer, who designed, edited and published the document with the support of all the RTD-CI team.
The REPORT 2005 – 2011 is presented by the Rural Territorial Development Project with Cultural Identity, a Rimisp driven initiative that has the support of the Ford Foundation and the collaboration of a wide range of partners in Latin America and Europe.
Presenting escalation processes of rural territorial development with cultural identity (DTR-IC), capable of promoting sustainable and inclusive territorial dynamics, contributing to the empowerment of rural people with fewer opportunities in Latin America is the main purpose of this Report.
The text presents a theoretical reflection on the transformative potential that lies in the processes of territorial development with cultural identity; the work by network of researchers and the dynamic platform of initiatives of study and action under way in the context of a project that seeks to understand and enhance these dynamics with the actors in the territories; very diverse and distant experiences are documented and analyzed, such as the ones of the Coast of Santa Catarina, in Southern Brazil, or the ones of the rural Andean areas of Peru, particularly in the context of concepts of cultural economy and its prospects in the field of public policy.
The publication aims to present by dynamic and attractive information tools (charts, maps, photographs) the process and the accumulation of results of the project throughout its history, with emphasis on the years 2009-2011.
The first chapter is a description of the main features that characterize the DTR-IC Project. The second chapter presents the main results of the project, reflecting on the dimensions “key” to drive DTR-IC processes. In the third chapter the major challenges for the future are displayed, mainly based on a horizon of greater escalation of the DTR-IC, which also involves overcoming the current limitations of the Project.
Throughout the text, testimonies from members of the Advisory Board and Project Team are being expressed, as well as close partners, to better illustrate the processes and their effects on different areas of influence.
